Little Christmas tree DIY

So, I know it is still November but I was just really excited to get in to the festive mood. That means today will be the first ever Christmas post on this blog! We will be making a little Chistmas tree!!! It's a perfect and inexpensive way to decorate your room or your home.

You will need:
  • Many sheets of green paper
  • A straw
  • A compass
  • Toothpicks
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Start off by measuring your straw. Then draw a line on a piece of paper to represent your straw (here it is in red). Then, figure out how wide you want the bottom. Keeping in mind that it is the radius of your first circle, which means that this line is only half). Now, connect the ends together to have a right triangle. After that I made various horizontal lines to show how many circles I will need. This also helps because it is easier to just place your compass on to see how long each circle will be. So, create your circles on your green paper. To create the circles. Open your compass to reach both sides of 1 horizontal line and readjust as you go.

After you cut your circles out, you will want to create a hole in the middle. The hole should be big enough to place through the straw. Once you have done that cut the circle like so.

Before you place your circle through the straw,  cut up the paper and, take a toothpick and poke it through the straw (look at image). This will act like a support for the paper and so the papers don't sit on each other. It will also make it look more tree like. Don't forget to add a toothpick before every circle. Also, you may need to cut the toothpick to make it smaller when the circles get smaller so you won't see it.

There you go! Your little Christmas tree. You can decorate it how ever you would like. I just finished mine off by adding a paper star to the top.

I hoped you guys liked it! ♥♥♥♥♥
